Broad and Riordan
Re “Trustees Tie Riordan to Gift Offer,” Nov. 12: If Eli Broad and Dick Riordan want to help the Los Angeles Unified School District and have millions to throw around for board elections, why don’t they just give the money to the district or buy supplies, books, computers and playground equipment? It seems they are more interested in controlling the school board than in helping the schools.
