BIG WINNERS

* Anaheim Katella and Long Beach Cabrillo are 4-0 for the first time in the schools’ histories.

Katella defeated Fullerton Sunny Hills, 23-6, as Tony Savala threw two touchdown passes and Brandon Barnes recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass and scored on a six-yard reception.

Cabrillo beat Lakewood Artesia, 20-7, behind the play of quarterback Cleven Doty, who passed for 133 yards and scored on two one-yard runs.

* San Jacinto’s Sergio Aguayo kicked a school-record 57-yard field goal during the Tigers’ 28-10 loss to Beaumont.

* Quarterback Ollie Linter of Beverly Hills tied a school record by throwing five touchdown passes during the Normans’ 53-6 victory over Oxnard Pacifica. Linter, who also ran 31 yards for a sixth touchdown, had tied the school record earlier this season with five touchdown passes against Honolulu Pac-Five. He has thrown 18 touchdown passes, nine short of tying the school season record.

* Sherman Oaks Notre Dame limited Encino Crespi to 56 yards during the Knights’ 26-7 victory.

UPSETS

* La Verne Damien defeated then-No. 15 La Puente Bishop Amat, 14-9. Damien’s defense stiffened after Bishop Amat reached the Spartan seven-yard line with 28 seconds to play, completing its second goal-line stand of the game.

* Rancho Cucamonga defeated then-No. 18 Redlands, 34-24. Josh Sayles rushed for 203 yards and Terrell Thomas had 153 as the Cougars had 428 yards on the ground. Rancho Cucamonga overcame deficits of 10-0 and 17-7.
