Woman Critically Hurt in Fire at Her Home

A 60-year-old woman was listed in critical condition at a Ventura hospital after an early-morning blaze at her Warner Street home, officials said.
The woman apparently had been smoking while using medical oxygen when the fire broke out a little after 3 a.m. She suffered burns to her face and respiratory tract, a Ventura Fire Department spokesman said.
The woman’s name was not released until her relatives could be notified. Damage to her home was estimated at $200,000.
