Authorities Seek Dead Woman’s Boyfriend
From Times Staff Reports
Homicide detectives were searching Saturday for the boyfriend of a 26-year-old woman who was shot to death in the driveway of their home.
The suspect was identified as Nicholas Penagos Perez, 26.
Authorities said the woman, who was not identified, was allegedly shot in the chest by Perez about 10:30 p.m. Friday during an argument in the 23000 block of Race Street.
A family member ran outside and wrestled with Perez, who allegedly dropped the gun and fled, Deputy Scott Butler said.
The woman died later at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
