4 Teens Arrested in Phone Threats to Moorpark High School Officials
Four teenage boys suspected of making threatening phone calls to Moorpark High School officials were arrested Wednesday after a nearly two-week investigation, authorities said.
Principal Anna Merriman, three assistant principals, a counselor and two teachers reported that they had received threatening calls between 1 and 1:30 a.m. April 5.
Three reported that the caller threatened to harm or kill them, authorities said. School officials reported the incidents April 7.
A sheriff’s deputy assigned to the school investigated the complaints and arrested the four boys, authorities said. One is a student at Moorpark High, two attend Moorpark Continuation School and one attends Gateway Community School in Camarillo.
One was arrested on suspicion of threatening a school official, and the other three for allegedly making annoying phone calls, authorities said.
