3 Students at Dorsey High Hospitalized in Shooting
Three Dorsey High School students were hospitalized Monday after being shot while sitting in a vehicle, authorities said.
The victims, identified only as males 15 to 18 years old, were in stable condition, said Officer Lucy Diaz of the Los Angeles Police Department. Their injuries are not life-threatening, she said.
The shooting occurred about 1:30 p.m. on 39th Street just west of Western Avenue, Diaz said. The victims were sitting in a car when another car approached and its occupants opened fired.
The victims drove to Dorsey High, where they were given aid before an ambulance took them to the hospital, authorities said. There was no immediate description of the suspects, Diaz said.
