Two men were hospitalized after being shot while standing outside a residence in the 300 block of Colonia Road, officials in Oxnard said Monday.
One man sustained multiple wounds throughout his body, while the other was shot at least twice in the torso during the 11 p.m. incident. Police did not say whether the men, whom they declined to identify, were gang members. The victims were described as Oxnard residents in their 20s.
Police have not been able to interview the men because of their injuries, said Oxnard Police Sgt. Jason Benitez.
Police do not know what the motive for the shooting was, Benitez said.
Oxnard police are asking anyone with information to call Det. Agustin Barroso at 486-6506.
