BOYS’ BASKETBALL

* David VanSumeren, Oxnard Pacifica: Scored 27 points, including a game-winning three-point shot with three seconds to play in a 74-73 victory over Ventura Buena in the first round of the Ventura tournament.

* Andrew Cronin, Oxnard Rio Mesa: Made a three-point basket at the buzzer to finish with eight points in a 50-48 victory over tournament host Ventura.

* Davis Baker, Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley: Made four three-pointers and finished with 31 points in an 82-78 double-overtime victory over San Jose Bellarmine Prep in the first round of the Torrey Pines tournament. Matt Ankany had 23 points to lead the No. 11 Cougars, who made 19 of 23 free throws.

* Darryl Best, Lake Forest El Toro: Scored 16 of his 21 points in the second half in an 82-72 victory over San Diego St. Augustine in the Torrey Pines tournament. Kelvin Kim had 21 points and seven assists for the No. 18 Chargers.

* Greg Okwudibonye, Huntington Beach Ocean View: Had 23 points, 14 rebounds and six steals for the No. 9 Seahawks in a 92-68 victory over Long Beach Jordan in the first round of the Torrey Pines tournament.

* Patrick Marion, San Juan Capistrano Tesoro: Scored 12 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, including 10 consecutive, in a 59-53 Century tournament victory over Ontario Colony.

* Rudy Navarrete, Pico Rivera El Rancho: Scored seven of the Dons’ nine points in overtime to finish with 30 in a 65-64 victory over Norwalk in the Cantwell Sacred Heart tournament.

* Ralph Turner, Canoga Park: Scored 22 points in a 72-64 victory over Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula in the Las Vegas tournament. The Hunters outscored Peninsula 20-6 in the final five minutes

* Scot Sturzenacker, North Hills L.A. Baptist: Made all six of his three-point shots and scored 24 points in a 74-22 victory over L.A. Milken in pool play of the Village Christian tournament.

* Joey Wassilian, L.A. Mesrobian: Had 20 points and 14 rebounds and made the game-winning, six-foot shot with six seconds left in a 43-42 victory over North Vancouver (Canada) Aquinas in the St. Anthony tournament.
