Rashard Lewis made a turnaround jumper with 43.1 seconds remaining and made two free throws with 10.3 seconds left to give the Seattle SuperSonics a dramatic 85-81 victory over the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night at Seattle.

The SuperSonics have slumped this month, opening the new year with six losses before an overtime victory Friday night against Memphis. But they played well in handing the Mavericks their third straight loss.

With Seattle leading, 83-81, Lewis had a chance to extend the lead but missed a layup, then battled with Raef LaFrentz for the rebound. Lewis crashed into the Mavericks’ bench, but officials ruled LaFrentz had touched the ball last.

Lewis, who scored 19 points and had 13 rebounds, was fouled on the ensuing inbounds pass and made the two free throws to put the SuperSonics ahead, 85-81.

The Mavericks had one more opportunity. Steve Nash drove and missed a runner in the lane with four seconds left and Lewis grabbed the rebound.

Orlando 101, Toronto 93 -- Tracy McGrady showed the Raptors’ fans what they’re missing. He had 35 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists against his former team.

McGrady, who played three seasons in Toronto before signing with Orlando as a free agent, made 14 of 31 shots for the Magic, who ended a two-game losing streak.

Morris Peterson had 25 points for the injury-riddled Raptors, who have lost three in a row and 15 of 17. All-Star Vince Carter sat out his 21st straight game with a strained right knee.
