Long Beach State (2-12, 1-4) at Cal State Northridge (7-8, 1-4), 7, KDOC-TV (56), KRLA (870) -- Long Beach got its first victory against a Division I team last week when it beat visiting Idaho, 59-55. Northridge ended a six-game losing streak at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a 73-54 victory. Both teams are tied for last place in the Big West Conference standings. Long Beach is 0-7 on the road and has lost four of its last six games against Northridge. But the Matadors haven’t defeated the 49ers at home since Dec. 6, 1994. Dan Read, a 6-foot-11 senior center who started two of the last three games for Northridge, sprained his left ankle at San Luis Obispo and is doubtful.
