Gannon...1 carry, 1 yard
Pittman...10 carries, 31 yards
Rice...4 catches, 71 yards
Alstott...2 catches, 11 yards
Gannon...10-15, 123 yards
B. Johnson...3-4, 29 yards
The lowdown: The Raiders certainly didn't quit. Eric Johnson scored on a blocked punt, Gannon found Jerry Rice for a touchdown and suddenly it was 34-21 with about six minutes left. But Derrick Brooks and Dwight Smith scored on interception returns and it was all over.
Big play: The officials reviewed the failed two-point conversion after Rice's touchdown. Porter was out of the back of the end zone, but the question was whether he was knocked out. The officials let the play stand.
Unanswered question: Why don't the Raiders have some better-designed two-point conversion plays? They failed on six points' worth, which could have changed things markedly, leaving them within one touchdown in the late going at 34-27.
Did you notice? With minutes left in the game, the Raiders had rushed for a total of 18 yards, none in the second half.
