Man Returning Home Shot to Death on Street
A 46-year-old man returning home from a visit with friends was shot and killed late Wednesday as he got out of his car, police said.
An unknown person approached and shot the man in the back of the head about 11 p.m., said San Bernardino Police Sgt. Brian Boom.
The man killed was renting a room at the home in the 2800 block of West 9th Street. Police did not release his name because they are trying to notify his relatives in Mexico, Boom said. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at (909) 384-5742.
