Victorville Teacher Arrested on Suspicion of Child Molestation
A Victorville elementary school teacher was arrested Friday on suspicion of molesting two former students at his home, authorities said.
John Desilets, 44, a teacher at Village Elementary School, was taken to Victor Valley Community Hospital for an unknown medical condition after his arrest, said Chip Patterson, a spokesman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Once released, Desilets was expected to be booked at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, Patterson said.
The grandmother of the two boys, now 9 and 11 years old, told authorities on Thursday that Desilets had sexually molested them.
The alleged incidents were said to have occurred at the teacher’s home within the last 18 months, authorities said.
