9,300-Acre Fire Near National Park Slows
From Times Wire Reports
A lack of wind slowed the advance of a 9,300-acre wildfire threatening buildings at Glacier National Park headquarters and more than 500 homes and summer cabins outside the park.
Blazes flared on the western portion of the wildfire, said Dawn LeFleur, a fire information officer, creating “watch-out time.”
She said forecasts call for more hot weather today, and a front is expected to move south out of Canada with the potential for blustery winds.
