The Beat (6-2-4) took sole possession of first place in the WUSA by one point over Boston.

Boston 2, Philadelphia 2 -- Ragnhild Gulbrandsen scored in the 88th minute to give Boston a tie in front of 8,021 at Villanova, Pa.

Marinette Pichon scored two goals for Philadelphia, becoming the 10th player in the league to reach the 50-point mark.

She accomplished the feat in 29 games, tying the league record set by New York’s Tiffeny Milbrett.

Carolina 3, New York 3 -- Birgit Prinz scored in the 95th minute to give Carolina a tie in front of 4,404 at Uniondale, N.Y.

Milbrett scored her WUSA-record 30th goal.
