Season Continues Downward Spiral

Share

The Clippers have lost six of seven games since Dennis Johnson replaced Alvin Gentry as their coach March 3. They have lost three in a row and went 1-5 on a season-high six-game trip.

What’s more, the Clippers have dropped 10 of their last 11 and 19 of 23 going into tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors at Staples Center. Their only victory in the last 3 1/2 weeks was March 8 against the equally woeful Chicago Bulls.

Perhaps the only bit of good news for the Clippers is that there are only 17 games remaining.

Five of the team’s next six games are at Staples, including Monday’s matchup against the Lakers. The Clippers lost the first three games of their four-game season series against the Lakers.
