Arizona State at USC, 6 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday-Sunday -- USC catcher Jeff Clement leads the nation with 14 home runs. Arizona State rode a 28-1 start to a No. 3 national ranking but has lost four of eight against Oklahoma, Wichita State and Stanford.

Arizona at UCLA, 6 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday-Sunday -- The Bruins hope to parlay a tough nonconference schedule into a good start in the Pacific 10 Conference. Arizona took two of three against USC.

UCLA at Stanford, 7 tonight; UCLA at California, 2 p.m. Saturday, 1 p.m. Sunday -- The top-ranked Bruins finished nonconference play with a 28-2 record and begin the Pac-10 season against two perennial College World Series teams. Cal (23-6), last year’s surprise national champion, is ranked sixth.
