Great White returns to stage
Great White, the hard-rock band whose Feb. 20 concert in Rhode Island ended in one of the deadliest nightclub fires in American history, will perform on April 29 at the Key Club in West Hollywood. It’s the band’s first performance since the tragedy and its only scheduled appearance.
The band will perform one song in a show to raise money for a Ty Longley memorial fund, named for the 31-year-old Great White guitarist who was among the 99 people killed in the blaze at the Station nightclub. The show will benefit the late Los Angeles-based guitarist’s girlfriend and their unborn child as well as survivors of the West Warwick fire. XYZ and 5 Cent Shine, two bands that Longley performed with earlier in his career, will also play.
