Bret Carlin, Placentia El Dorado: Had four hits and struck out five in three innings of relief to earn his third save for the No. 7 Goldenhawks in 11-2 Century League victory over Orange El Modena.

Henry Barrera, Rosemead: Threw three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and drove in two runs in 3-1 victory over El Monte in a Mission Valley League game.

Chad Lundahl, Thousand Oaks: Hit game-winning solo homer in the bottom of the seventh to give Thousand Oaks a 10-9 victory over Simi Valley in a Marmonte League game.

Ryan Huey, Covina Charter Oak: His game-winning solo homer in the bottom of the seven was last of four hits in 8-7 victory over Hacienda Heights Los Altos in a Miramonte League game.

Robyn Kontra, Newhall Hart: Threw two-hitter with seven strikeouts in 1-0 victory over No. 5 Thousand Oaks in the championship game of the Hart tournament.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Salim Kordab, Verdugo Hills: Had 41 kills and 24 digs in a four-game victory over North Hollywood in a Sunset Six League match.
