GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Mallorie Croal, Mater Dei: The 6-1 junior outside hitter had 11 kills, 12 digs and three aces as the Monarchs, ranked No. 1 in the Southland by The Times, beat Wheaton (Ill.) St. Francis, 25-11, 25-13, for the title of the Mother McAuley Nike Challenge in Chicago. She had 70 kills, 53 digs and eight aces for the tournament.
