GIRLS’ GOLF

Considering that nobody shot par or better in the round, the Southern Section record 187 by Dos Pueblos may only be the tip of the iceberg for low scoring by the Chargers. Peninsula has eight players worthy of the starting lineup and Coach Bob Wilton’s biggest problem is figuring out who is going to shoot low on a given day. San Clemente drops in the rankings after losing a nonleague match to Encinitas Torrey Pines, 210-212, at Talega. Despite losing to Peninsula, 201-207, at Rolling Hills Country Club, Keppel moves up a spot after proving it could shoot low away from its home course.

2. Peninsula (8-0, SS-Central)...2

3. Palm Desert (11-1, SS-Eastern)...3
