Prosecutors Seek 2-Week Delay

Share

Citing scheduling conflicts, prosecutors asked Friday that Kobe Bryant’s Nov. 10 advisement be postponed for two weeks.

Neither the judge nor attorneys for Bryant immediately responded to the request by Mark Hurlbert, district attorney for Eagle County, Colo., to reschedule the advisement for Nov. 24 or Nov. 26.

The Lakers have a game at Memphis on Nov. 10 and play a home game against the Washington Wizards on Nov. 26. Nov. 24 is an off day, although the Lakers play a 6:30 p.m. home game Nov. 23.

The advisement will mark Bryant’s first appearance in District Court and is expected to take only a few minutes. He could elect to hold his arraignment at the same hearing and enter a plea to the single count of felony sexual assault.
