ESPN places bet on poker series

ESPN in January will debut its next dramatic series, set at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, replacing a drama that drew criticism from the National Football League.
“Tilt” will run Thursday nights starting Jan. 13 with one-hour shows depicting high-stakes gambling through the eyes of players. It replaces “Playmakers,” a football drama that was canceled after its first season because the NFL didn’t like it.
