Bay Area Blood Supply Running Very Low

The San Francisco Bay area’s blood supply is at dangerously low levels this month, blood bank officials said.
Blood Centers of the Pacific in San Francisco, American Red Cross affiliates and Stanford Blood Center are looking for all blood types, particularly Type O.
An early flu bug this winter made potential donors sick and others were out of town for the holidays.
