VooDoo Puts the Hex on Storm

Jacques Rumph caught a 12-yard scoring pass in overtime and the New Orleans VooDoo stopped the Tampa Bay Storm in the extra period for a 48-42 victory Friday night at New Orleans.

Rumph scored the decisive touchdown for New Orleans (4-1) with just over 10 minutes left in overtime. Tampa Bay fell to 2-2.

Georgia 66, Austin 63 -- Nelson Garner kicked a 49-yard field goal as time expired to give the Force the victory over the Wranglers at Austin, Texas.

Matt Nagy stepped in for starting quarterback Jim Kubiak, who left in the second quarter because of a knee injury, and threw for 257 yards and seven touchdowns for Georgia (4-1).

John Fitzgerald threw for five scores for Austin (1-4).

Orlando 48, Chicago 35 -- Jimmy Fryzel caught three touchdown passes and rushed for another score as the Predators (4-1) rolled to a victory over the Rush (2-3) at Chicago.
