Marcus Rosenberg scored a late goal in his first international appearance to give Sweden a 1-1 tie with South Korea in an exhibition Saturday night in front of 9,941 at the Home Depot Center in Carson.

Niclas Alexandersson set up the goal by sending a pass to Rosenberg, who had entered the game in the 72nd minute.

As defender Yoo Kyung-Ryul fell, Rosenberg kicked a 13-yard shot that rolled inside the left post in the 86th minute.

Chung Kyung-Ho had put South Korea ahead in the 70th minute with a 24-yard shot that curved inside the right post.

Sweden, which leads its group in European qualifying for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, brought only three players from its 2002 World Cup team: Alexandersson, midfielder Daniel Andersson and defender Teddy Lucic.

Sweden will play Mexico in another exhibition Wednesday night in San Diego.

South Korea will play Egypt in Seoul on Feb. 4 before beginning the final round of Asian World Cup qualifying Feb. 9.
