From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A San Joaquin County man is being held on charges of child-endangerment and cruelty to a child after he punished a 2-year-old boy in his care by putting him in a scalding shower, authorities said.
Firefighters responded Saturday after the boy’s mother returned home and called paramedics. Charles Kundert Jr., 20, allegedly told sheriff’s deputies that he had punished his girlfriend’s son for soiling his pants.
