The Players Who Made the NBA Worth Watching
- Share via
For eons we have been avid basketball fans, but we have virtually stopped watching NBA games (“Making the Extra Pass,” by David Wharton, Feb. 13). I loved watching during the era of Vinnie Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone and even Dennis Rodman--but mostly when John Stockton, Kurt Rambis, Larry Bird and Robert Parish played. I like young Luke Walton, but don’t get to see him play much. Reggie Miller played as if his life depended on it. More should have that “play” ethic. Now arrogant “superstars” are driving people away from the game.
