* Kyle Thompson, West Hills Chaminade: Threw a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks in a 4-0 victory over Mission Hills Alemany, clinching at least a share of the Mission League title.

* Jeff Newman, Ontario Colony: Threw a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and had three hits, five stolen bases and five runs scored in a 15-1 Mt. Baldy League victory over Ontario Chaffey.

* Gary Severson, San Bernardino Cajon: His sixth-inning grand slam broke a 3-3 tie en route to a 9-3 victory over San Bernardino Arroyo, keeping the Cowboys tied atop the San Andreas League.

SOFTBALL

* Jenna Becerra, Westlake Village Westlake: Gave up one earned run and struck out seven, and her grand slam highlighted six-run first inning in 7-1 Marmonte League victory over Simi Valley.

* Jody Valdivia, Anaheim Canyon: Threw her second no-hitter of the season, striking out 10 and walking one in a 1-0 Century League win over Villa Park.

BOYS’ TENNIS

* Andre Feliz, San Gabriel: Ran his winning streak to 51 sets with a 6-0, 6-2, 6-0 sweep in a 14-4 victory over Whittier California in a Southern Section Division IV wild-card match.
