Man Killed, Brother Wounded in Shooting
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A man was killed and his brother wounded in what police say was a gang-related shooting over the weekend.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 4 p.m. Saturday found Javier Luna, 23, and Rogelio Luna, 20, lying on the ground, said Santa Ana Police Lt. Chuck Deakins.
They were treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to UC Medical Center in Orange, where Javier Luna was pronounced dead, Deakins said. The department’s gang unit is investigating.
