The Colorado Rockies activated shortstop Clint Barmes from the 60-day disabled list and outfielder Brad Hawpe from the 15-day disabled list Friday.

Barmes broke his left collarbone in a fall at his home, and Hawpe had been out after straining his left hamstring while sliding. Both had completed minor league rehab assignments.

“It’s good to have both back,” Colorado Manager Clint Hurdle said. “Having Barmes back means we will see more of Omar Quintanilla at second base.”
