Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials asked the public for help Saturday in finding the person who shot at a car Friday night on the Antelope Valley Freeway, killing a passenger.
Deputy Oscar Boutao said the assailant and the victim were traveling south in separate vehicles near Avenue S about 9:15 p.m.
After the victim was hit in the upper torso, the driver proceeded to a clinic, officials said. Carlos Ramirez, 23, was killed, sheriff’s officials said. The motive for the shooting was unknown.
Sgt. Edward Godfrey asked anyone with information to contact him at (323) 890-5500.
