Divers Recover Body of Man From Lake
The body a man who apparently drowned Sunday night was recovered by divers with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department on Monday afternoon, officials said.
After searches Sunday night and Monday morning using helicopters and sonar, divers pulled the body from the lake about 4 p.m., about 150 yards from shore.
Two men were in a 6-foot boat when apparently one stood up, capsizing the vessel about 6:15 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Earl Quinata, department spokesman. One man swam to another boat.
The body will undergo an autopsy, Quinata said. The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
