Man Kills Wife, Self in O.C.
A Bakersfield man followed his wife to a Garden Grove house Monday and shot her dead in the driveway before committing suicide, authorities said.
Police were unsure how many children the couple had, but two were at the house during the shootings, police Lt. Michael Handfield said.
The couple, believed to be in their 20s, had a history of domestic violence, according to witnesses, Handfield said.
The wife had come to the Garden Grove home for a party, and the husband found her shortly after 1 p.m. Monday.
After they exchanged words, he pulled out a handgun, shot her and then shot himself, Handfield said.
The couple’s names were being withheld pending notification of family members.
