G DeMar DeRozan, Compton 6-5 Jr. Led Tarbabes out of the shadows of Compton Dominguez and Compton Centennial, averaging 22.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 steals in their run to the Division I-AA semifinals. In a four-point victory over Lakewood in early February, totaled 35 points and a season-high 16 rebounds. G D.J. Gay, Sun Valley Poly 6-0 Sr. Averaged 29.4 points and 5.5 assists in leading the Parrots to the City Section semifinals. G Jrue Holiday, North Hollywood Campbell Hall 6-4 Jr. Division III-AA co-player of the year averaged 23.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 4.2 steals entering the Division IV title game, where he scored 20 in a 36-point rout of Santa Rosa Cardinal Newman. Scored a season-high 38 points in a victory over La Canada in the section final.
