Two people were killed and four were critically injured Sunday when two vehicles collided at North Harbor Boulevard and Stearns Avenue, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 1:20 p.m. when the driver of a sport-utility vehicle tried to make a left turn and was struck by a fast-moving pickup.
Police said the impact knocked the truck on its side and threw one passenger out of the sport-utility vehicle. The injured were taken to hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange counties. The names of those killed were unavailable Sunday.
