Get the word out

Re “Dump the foam,” Opinion, Aug. 16

Thanks to Patt Morrison for revealing that we can now blue-bin almost any clean plastic with a recycling number on it, including Styrofoam cups and packaging. Since that started, seven trash pickups have occurred citywide without a single word. And folks have never been advised how clean a throwaway has to be for its successful recycling. Instead of sending out guys to pick over trash bins and write notes, why not send explanations with our next utility bill?
