SEATTLE -- If Lane Kiffin needed the exhibition finale to decide who his starting quarterback would be, Daunte Culpepper should be his man.

The Raiders’ first-year coach watched the former Miami starter complete 11 of 19 passes for 108 yards and lead the offense to its only touchdown in Oakland’s 19-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night.

The winning score came early in the fourth quarter, when backup Marquis Weeks ran 11 yards for a touchdown.

Culpepper, signed July 31, had one pass intercepted while playing from 2:59 left in the first half until midway through the fourth quarter. The Raiders gained 123 yards in 27 plays while Culpepper was in. Johnnie Lee Higgins scored the Raiders’ other touchdown on a 90-yard punt return.

Oakland’s Josh McCown was five for 12 for 75 yards.
