New Jersey also overcame Dwyane Wade’s season-high 41 points for Miami (3-9 at home). Meanwhile, Heat backup center Alonzo Mourning had season-ending surgery for torn right knee tendons suffered Wednesday in an overtime loss at Atlanta. Mourning’s injury was first said to be a torn patellar tendon. But the team said that he also required surgery to repair a torn quadriceps tendon, which connects the kneecap to the lower thigh.
