After Ben Gordon had a career-high 48 points Sunday, he was being compared to some impressive company in the Chicago Bulls’ locker room.

“If he was 6-[foot]-6, 6-7, man, he would be like Michael Jordan. He’s that scary,” Bulls guard Adrian Griffin said of the 6-3 Gordon.

Gordon was superb in leading the Bulls to a 126-121 come-from-behind overtime win over the Bucks at Milwaukee. He made 18 of 32 shots, including six three-point baskets. He took over the game in the second quarter with 15 points to keep the Bulls close and then added 20 points in the fourth quarter, mostly on outside shots.

The Bulls needed every one of his points as they had to overcome 52 points from Michael Redd and an 18-point fourth-quarter deficit.

Gordon, whose previous high was 41 points Jan. 2 against Phoenix, said he was in a zone.

“I don’t hear anything,” Gordon said. “I just block everything out. I don’t get tired. I feel like I can run for days. It’s a good feeling. It motivates me, makes me want to work harder.”

Washington 107, Golden State 106 -- Down by two points with one-tenth of a second left, Gilbert Arenas capitalized on a personal foul and technical foul against Warriors Coach Don Nelson by making three free throws to lift the Wizards at Washington.

Washington trailed, 106-104, with 2.9 seconds to play when Arenas drove to the basket. The horn sounded before Arenas released a shot, but the referees ruled that Golden State’s Mickael Pietrus fouled him with a fraction of a second left.

Nelson stormed onto the court to argue and was issued a technical.

Arenas finished with 32 points. Jason Richardson scored 28 for Golden State.

Utah 108, New Orleans 94 -- The Jazz shot 62.5% (20 of 32) in the second half en route to its fourth straight road victory.

Mehmet Okur scored 28 points as Utah won for the eighth time in its last 10 road games. Tyson Chandler had a season-high 20 points and 17 rebounds for New Orleans.

Kevin Garnett had 33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists for Minnesota, which has lost six of seven.

Philadelphia 99, New Jersey 86 -- The 76ers extended their winning streak to a season-high four games by rallying from a 17-point first-quarter deficit at Philadelphia.

Andre Iguodala scored 21 points for the 76ers. Jason Kidd had 11 points, 14 assists and 14 rebounds for the Nets but Vince Carter missed his final 14 shots to finish with nine points.

Seattle 96, Charlotte 89 -- After missing a game because of bone spurs in his left ankle, Ray Allen’s spinning three-point play with 1:25 left was the final basket in his 34-point game at Seattle. Gerald Wallace scored 19 points for the Bobcats.
