Update -- If the Arena Football League playoffs began this weekend, the Avengers would be one of the top six teams in the American Conference and qualify as a wild-card team. But the Avengers are coming off a disappointing 40-37 loss at home to Tampa Bay last week, ending a two-game winning streak. Kevin Ingram, the Avengers’ leading receiver who fractured his right thumb against Tampa Bay, has been put on the injured reserve list. Rookie receiver Nichiren Flowers was activated to replace Ingram. The Force leads the Southern Division by three games. Quarterback Chris Greisen, who leads the league with a 74.1% completion rate, has passed for 3,087 yards, with 78 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
