I will not be watching the Oscar...

I will not be watching the Oscar show as long as I think some moonbat, Bush-hating libtard is going to get on stage and lecture me for being a warmongering neo-con. (“A Bailout Plan for Oscar’s Big Night” by Mary McNamara, Dec. 14)

If you’ll notice, the ratings of the Oscars have been going south for as long as the hosts are known for their Bush hatred, and the promise that they would be demonstrating that hatred through three or four hours of the show.

I will not watch that. And you cannot make me.

It’s an award show, not politics

The fact that you list Chris Rock, Jon Stewart and Tina Fey as go-to guys to fix the problem of dismal ratings shows me that you really don’t understand why people refuse to watch.

I used to watch it. I used to sit quietly with a bowl of popcorn and happily chuckle at Bob Hope’s jokes and ogle the pretty dresses and applaud my favorites who won, and make notes on which movies I might want to check out if everyone else thought they were so good.

Then for a couple of years I taped it so I could zoom through the anti-American Bush-hatred parts.

Now I’m so [angry] ahead of time at Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, Barbra Streisand and David Letterman that I wouldn’t watch that hate-fest if you paid me to.

If we, the American citizens, won’t pay good American dollars to watch the anti-American dreck Hollywood has been trying to force down our throats for the past decade or more, why on Earth do you think we’d waste our time watching the traitorous makers of that dreck pat themselves on the back and joke about their betters who are actually working for a living and trying to make a better life for Americans?
