History being torn down
Only in Los Angeles do we tear down some significant buildings that are not ancient. (“Developer’s plan would demolish Century Plaza,” Dec. 18.)
Century Plaza had many great historical memories for many of us. New York updates and improves its historical buildings. I guess if the Metropolitan Museum were in Los Angeles, it would have seen the wrecking ball a long time ago.
