Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was arrested Wednesday night by Los Angeles police on suspicion of domestic violence, authorities said.
The incident took place at a Century City hotel in the 2100 block of Avenue of the Stars, where police were called late Wednesday and arrested Rodman at 10:15 p.m.
“Police learned he had hit a woman and she suffered injuries to her arms,” said Richard French, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. Rodman was booked at the Van Nuys jail at 2:50 a.m. Thursday. He was released hours later on $50,000 bail.
Steve Simon, one of Rodman’s managers, said that alcohol was involved in the altercation, which left the woman with a bruise. Rodman has sought help for substance abuse problems in the past.
