at No. 19 Cincinnati 28, No. 20 Pittsburgh 21: Tony Pike, playing with a broken left (non-throwing) forearm, threw three touchdown passes, each to a different receiver, and the Bearcats (9-2, 5-1) took control of the conference by beating the Panthers (7-3, 3-2), their first win in eight games against Pitt. Pike completed a career-high 26 passes in 32 attempts for 309 yards. Cincinnati can clinch the Big East with a home win next Saturday over Syracuse.

Syracuse 24, at Notre Dame 23: Cameron Dantley, son of Notre Dame basketball great Adrian Dantley, threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Donte Davis with 42 seconds left, to lead the Orange (3-8) to a win over the stunned and disheartened Fighting Irish (6-5) at South Bend, Ind. For Notre Dame, losing to a 19 1/2 -point underdog ranks among the worst losses in school history and leaves Coach Charlie Weis with a 28-20 record in four seasons.

West Virginia 35, at Louisville 21: Quarterback Pat White rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Mountaineers (7-3, 4-1) over the Cardinals (5-6, 1-5) at Louisville, Ky.

at Rutgers 30, Army 3: Mike Teel threw for 359 yards and the Scarlet Knights (6-5) became bowl-eligible by beating the Black Knights (3-8) at Piscataway, N.J., for their fifth straight win.
