at Michigan 27, No. 9 Wisconsin 25: The Wolverines (2-2, 1-0) rallied from a 19-point halftime deficit, and when Allan Evridge of the Badgers (3-1, 0-1) misfired on a two-point conversion pass with 13 seconds left at Ann Arbor, Michigan had secured the first big win since Rich Rodriguez arrived as coach. It was the biggest deficit the Wolverines have overcome at home since they started playing at their storied stadium in 1927.

at No. 14 Ohio State 34, Minnesota 21: Tailback Chris “Beanie” Wells rushed for 106 yards in his first game in a month and quarterback Terrelle Pryor ran for two scores and threw for another to lead the Buckeyes (4-1, 1-0) over the Golden Gophers (4-1, 0-1) at Columbus.

Michigan State 42, at Indiana 29: Javon Ringer rushed for 198 yards and a touchdown, and Brian Hoyer accounted for three more to lead the Spartans (4-1, 1-0) past the Hoosiers (2-2, 0-1) at Bloomington. Indiana had a 97-yard touchdown pass called back because of a holding penalty in the end zone.

Northwestern 22, at Iowa 17: C.J. Bacher threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns, and the Wildcats (5-0, 1-0) rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat the Hawkeyes (3-2, 0-1) at Iowa City. Northwestern is 5-0 for the first time in 46 years. Shonn Greene had a career-high 159 yards rushing to lead Iowa but left the game because of a head injury midway through the fourth quarter.

at Notre Dame 38, Purdue 21: Jimmy Clausen threw for a career-high 275 yards and three touchdowns, Armando Allen Jr. ran for a career-best 134 yards, and the Fighting Irish (3-1) matched their win total from a year ago with a victory over the Boilermakers (2-2) at South Bend, Ind.
