Update: Having berated his players in private and in public after Saturday night’s 3-2 loss to Colorado in MLS play, Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena is expected to make several changes to his starting lineup tonight when the teams meet again in a U.S. Open Cup play-in game. One change is likely to be the inclusion of veteran defender Gregg Berhalter in the starting 11. Berhalter, 35, arrived Thursday from Europe, and the former U.S. international said it was just too soon to play Saturday. Others who could start or play include defenders A.J. DeLaGarza and Todd Dunivant, and forwards Jovan Kirovski and Bryan Jordan. The Galaxy, a two-time Open Cup winner, was beaten, 1-0, by the Rapids in the play-in game last season.
