UP NEXT FOR CHIVAS USA: Wednesday at Toronto

Share

AT TORONTO

Time: 4:30 PDT. On the air: TV: None; Radio: 690.

Where: BMO Field, Toronto.

Records: Chivas USA 4-0-1, Toronto 1-2-2.

Record vs. Toronto (2008): 2-0-0.

Update: Unbeaten and not yet having given up a goal this season, Chivas USA comes up against a team that has struggled so far in 2009. Worse yet for Coach John Carver’s Toronto squad, it will be without its most influential player, Dwayne De Rosario, who has a hamstring injury. Toronto is on a four-game winless streak and is 0-4 all-time against Chivas. Carver, who was fined $750 Tuesday for criticizing MLS officiating, has shrugged off criticism over his player selection, saying: “If I’ve got to rely on fans and the press on what team I’m going to pick then I’m wasting my time. I’m going to pick the team I want to pick and I’ll live and die by that.” Chivas midfielder Paulo Nagamura returns after a one-game suspension.
