Wednesday’s TV Highlights: ‘Mega-Tsunami: 5 Years Later’ looks back at the 2004 disaster


Make Room for Multiples: More than three dozen doctors are on hand for the arrival of quadruplets in Philadelphia in the premiere of this new unscripted medical series (2 p.m. TLC).

The 11th Annual a Home for the Holidays With Faith Hill: The Grammy and Country Music Assn. Award winner headlines for the second time with this feel-good hour that celebrates the joys of adoption from the perspectives of the adoptive families and the children who finally have found stable homes. Joining Hill are Mary J. Blige, Michael Franti, Reba McEntire, Shakira and Carrie Underwood, along with Jenna Elfman and Nia Vardalos (8 p.m. CBS).

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Legendary animator Chuck Jones directed the story about a green-skinned grouch who sets out to spoil Christmas for the citizens of Whoville. Boris Karloff provides narration for this 1966 holiday treat (8 p.m. ABC).

Launch My Line: Sally Lohan shows the designers how trends are set then designers seek inspiration from Venice Beach in this new episode (8 p.m. Bravo). In a second new episode at 10, the designers are taken to an art gallery to find inspiration for asymmetrical evening wear from “living art” in the form of nude models (10 p.m. Bravo).


Great Performances: Two of the opera world’s reigning superstars, Russian soprano Anna Netrebko and Mexican tenor Rolando Villazon, star as doomed lovers Mimi and Rodolfo in director Robert Dornhelm’s lush film adaptation of Giacomo Puccini’s 1896 romantic blockbuster “La Boheme” (9 p.m. KCET).

Bristol Bay Brawl: In this new, unscripted series some of Alaska’s toughest fishermen have 10 days to battle for the multimillion dollar bounty of herring roe (9 and 10 p.m. Discovery).

Steven Seagal Lawman: Deputy Chief Seagal and his team find themselves in a desperate situation trying to help two men who have been robbed and shot (10 p.m. A&E).

Spectacle: Elvis Costello With...: Costello with Levon Helm, Nick Lowe, Richard Thompson and Allen Touissant (10 p.m. Sundance).

Accidental Fortune: In this new series, people find unimaginable treasures in unlikely places (10 p.m. TLC).


Christmas at Belmont: More than 400 students join in singing seasonal favorites in this holiday special (8 p.m. KCET).


To Have and Have Not: The romance between Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, began on the set of this 1944 adaptation of Ernest Hemingway’s yarn about a sea captain (Bogart) who reluctantly agrees to help the Resistance movement in 1940 Martinique. Bacall plays a sultry young singer who catches the captain’s eye (5 p.m. TCM). The couple were cast together again two years later in the 1946 version of the Raymond Chandler mystery “The Big Sleep.” (7 p.m. TCM).


Women’s college basketball: Stanford at Connecticut (2:30 p.m. ESPN2).


College football: Poinsettia Bowl: California vs. Utah (5 p.m. ESPN).
