Boston 99, at Dallas 92: Paul Pierce scored 18 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter, finally giving the Celtics their first lead, then making two jumpers in the final 1:12 to put the game away. Pierce’s 11-footer gave Boston a 93-91 lead. At the other end, he took an elbow to the head from a charging Dirk Nowitzki, who was called for the foul. Then Pierce made another jumper, from 14 feet, to seal the game. Coach Doc Rivers wasn’t on the Celtics’ bench to see the end of the game, having been ejected because of two technical fouls late in the third quarter. That came after Kevin Garnett got two personal fouls and a technical in a matter of seconds while battling with Nowitzki. Boston’s Rajon Rondo had 19 points, 15 rebounds and 14 assists for his second career triple-double. Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 37 points.

at Golden State 105, Portland 98: Corey Maggette had 24 points, Monta Ellis made three key baskets down the stretch and the Warriors held on to beat the Trail Blazers, who got 37 points from Brandon Roy. Portland has not won at Golden State since Nov. 3, 2004.

Miami 95, at Chicago 93: Shawn Marion’s dunk with 1.1 seconds left gave the Heat the win. Dwyane Wade scored eight of his 24 points in the fourth quarter for Miami and found Marion on the decisive play. Ben Gordon scored 34 points for the Bulls.
